Anand Restaurant located near Janpath behind the Scindia House. The nearest metro station is Janpath(Violet Line). One can ask locals they are familiar with the name.
A very old eatery started sometime in the year 1983 by Mr Kishan Lal, and now managed by his son. The waiter welcomes in a friendly way to all customers at the counter. The eatery room has simple tables and chairs and usually thronged by office goers.
The menu is quite extensive, and they are well known for pocket-friendly dishes such as Biryani, Butter Chicken, Dal Makhani & that’s what we recommend to our readers.
The biryani is served in steel plate; and one gets a significant portion of chicken, a plentiful portion of the rice topped with gravy & salad. Colour of the biryani is different from the rest of biryanis in Delhi.
Apart from this, they serve scrumptious Dal Makhani, mixed with pure desi butter. One bowl of Dal Makhani along with tandoori roti is sufficient for two customers.
