Hey! I hope you all are doing good. A couple of days back, we visited Jama Masjid; I was waiting for this food journey since we’d gone to Chandni Chowk.

Our journey started from Nehru Place metro station known as the violet line which directly connects Jama Masjid Metro station. There are two gates of the metro station; after consulting with many commuters about those food streets, we took an exit from Gate No 2.
All you will see a busy road, from gate no 2 of the metro station take a right turn and walk about 8-10 mins approx. Entirely depend upon the traffic; as it is a small lane.

As you start walking, you will notice after 2-3 mins, little food joints one after the other.
Walking further, you will see India’s largest mosque Jama Masjid which located at the right-hand side.

The entry of the mosque is from the Gate No 1, and the opposite lane was full of with restaurants.

Delicious Food at Jama Masjid

I heard many times about a restaurant by the name of Al Jawahar, so told my colleague’s let’s have food from there.We went to Al Jawahar, ordered Mutton Burra, Mutton Seekh, Chicken Changezi, Tandoori Roti & Phirni. Mutton Burra and the seekh was scrumptious.

After having those appetising foods from there, our team hopped to Cool Point to have Shahi Tukda. Shahi Tukda is one of the desserts of Mughlai Cuisine; It is a bread pudding of fried bread slices soaked in hot milk with spices.
We also had fried Chicken and Chicken Biryani from one of the stores which are lined up near the main road towards metro station gate no 2.

Overall the food journey was impressive, and few of them are pocket-friendly restaurants, & there are many more food restaurants in that region which we did not explore that day some of them are Nihari of Bilal, Chicken Tikka from Aslam Chicken Corner, Karims.
