Sunder Nursery
Sunder Nursery, a heritage park that rivals the existing Lodhi Garden. It is a huge garden, spread over 90 acres of lush vegetation and has 15 Mughal monuments, 280 species of trees, 80 species of birds, 36 species of butterflies.
We get excited like little children every time we go to a park, much less huge gardens like Lodhi or Nehru Park.
We enter the garden onto sprawling greens, symmetrical paths, and an ancient Mughal monument right in the middle of our line of sight. On the other side of the monument, geometric flower beds and marble fountains created the view.
We had to walk a bit to get an idea of the scale of this garden, but it was worth it. Sunflowers, marigolds and many more colourful flowers populate the entire park.
Another focal point of Sunder Nursery is every weekend The Earth Collective organize a farmer’s market to boost the organic and natural lifestyle of India.Â
They demonstrate products related to organic fruits and vegetables, handmade apparels and much more interesting stuff!
The entry fee to this place is Rs. 40 for Indians. Alternatively, one can get a yearly pass which sounds like a good deal given how often we like to hang around here.
The best time to visit is during winters one can spend a good quality of time there. However, if you are planning to visit during the summer’s then it is advisable to visit in the early morning 6.30 AM-8.30 AM.
